Tragic Incident in Gegharkunik Province: Senior Patrol Officer Dies Suddenly One Day After Engagement

On March 26, a tragic incident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. At approximately 01:05, the Sevan Medical Center alerted the Sevan division of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs that an ambulance crew had responded to a call in the village of Zovaber in Gegharkunik Province, where a citizen suddenly died while being transported to the hospital.

According to reports from shamshyan.com, police and investigators have identified the deceased as 31-year-old Narek Isayan, a resident of the same village, who lost consciousness at home at around 00:05 that day, which led to his sudden death. Doctors from Sevan Hospital arrived promptly but confirmed biological death.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, no signs of violence were detected on the body upon external examination. A criminal investigation has been launched in the Sevan Investigative Division regarding the incident.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, the deceased served as a senior patrol officer in the Gegharkunik Province Patrol Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and held the rank of Major. He had been engaged just one day prior to his death.
