Residents of Azerbaijan's Saatli Region Hold Protests

Residents of the Cholpu village in the Saatli region of Azerbaijan held a protest on March 27, voicing their grievances over the lack of irrigation water. They blocked the "Four Roads" intersection and demanded a resolution to the long-standing issue of water shortage.

According to reports from the Turan news agency, the participants of the protest stated that they are forced to purchase water for their crops. One of the protesters remarked, "Water supply is provided to neighboring villages, but our water is given to officials." They expressed dissatisfaction with the indifference shown by state authorities towards their issues.

This protest by residents has occurred multiple times, and law enforcement has dispersed the protests using harsh measures.
