VIDEO: Armenian Judoka Wins Against Azerbaijani Athlete and Advances to Quarterfinals

Armenian judoka Ferdinand Karapetyan (73 kg) has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament. This information was reported by armsport.am.

The tournament, held in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, features members of the Armenian national judo team, including Artyom Ghalachyan (66 kg) and Ferdinand Karapetyan.

In the opening match of the tournament, Ferdinand won against his opponent, achieving victory in just 25 seconds. In the Round of 16, Karapetyan defeated an Azerbaijani judoka, securing his place in the quarterfinals.

Starting March 31, the Armenian athletes will also compete in the international tournament in Antalya. Both tournaments are qualifying events for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
