Medvedev on the Consequences of a Possible Clash Between the US and Russian Armies
The consequences of a clash between the Russian Federation and US armies would be horrific, warned Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, in response to questions from Russian media. This information was reported by TASS.
“Understanding which army is the first, which is the second, or which one is the twenty-first, can only be done during a real conflict. This is one. And secondly, to say that the American army is the first and ours is the second is incorrect for a simple reason: If these armies engage in war, how can we determine the winner? It is clear that in such cases, there will be no winner,” said the politician.
He emphasized, “It does not matter how many missiles will be shot down over America or the Russian Federation; some of them are guaranteed to fail, there is such a well-known term—direct or so-called retaliatory. As a result, the consequences would be horrific, and it will then be impossible to say which army was the first and which the second,” Medvedev concluded.
