I Was Not Invited to the Committee Meeting: Tiran Khachatryan

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Tiran Khachatryan insists that members of the ruling Civil Contract party are lying by claiming that he was invited to a meeting of the National Assembly committee investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war and that he did not attend for some reason. "I was not invited to that committee meeting," Khachatryan told us.

Could it be that Andranik Kocharyan didn’t invite him, but rather there was an intermediary invitation? "If I say that there was no invitation, am I talking about Andranik or Kandranyk? There was absolutely no invitation, even though in the case of an invitation, you can also refuse," he stated.

Khachatryan is not inclined to go to a place where the reality is presented the way they wish. He cannot say why former Chief of General Staff Onik Gasparyan attended the committee meeting, even though he knew beforehand that Gasparyan would go: "I haven't spoken to him after he went." When asked if he advised him not to go, he simply said, "Well, now."

From the Civil Contract faction, they told us that Andranik Kocharyan said that Tiran Khachatryan suggested meeting instead of attending the committee meetings. Khachatryan assured that he did not say such a thing: "I have not been in contact with him at all, and if he said something like that, then he is a brazen scoundrel, what can I say."

Commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent statements about the fifth column in the army, Khachatryan said, "If there has been one, let them deal with it."
