VIDEO: Protesters Demand Macron's Resignation in Paris
In Paris, at least 142 people have been detained during protests against pension reforms. Clashes have occurred between law enforcement and protesters, with tear gas being used to disperse the demonstration.
One of the largest actions in the French capital took place in the Place Vauban. After the rally, participants split into two large groups and moved to other parts of the city, causing disturbances.
According to BFMTV, over 2000 police officers and gendarmes are involved in maintaining order on the city's streets. Protests resumed on the day the French government avoided a vote of no confidence. 278 members of the National Assembly voted in favor of the government's resignation, falling short of the necessary 287 votes.
It should be noted that the residents of France are opposed to raising the retirement age. Their protests have now evolved into demands for President Macron's resignation.
