Protesters have also set fire to barricades on the A34 highway, blocking traffic in both directions. Widespread demonstrations took place across the country yesterday, some escalating into riots. In Paris alone, more than 140 people were taken into custody.

It is worth noting that the authorities will begin raising the retirement age by three months annually starting September 1, 2023. Consequently, by 2030, the retirement age will reach 64 years compared to the current 62. This has sparked protests throughout the country.
