Part of the Eiffel Tower Stairs Auctioned

Part of the Eiffel Tower stairs has been put up for auction, according to Говорит Москва.

It is reported that the auction includes 32 cast-iron elements, including the stairs, brackets, and columns. As stated on the Aguttes auction house website, the collection does not constitute a complete structure, although its parts are sold together.

The estimated value of the lot ranges from €4,000 to €6,000. In 1983, when the elevators were installed, the spiral staircase was sawed into 24 pieces. Even then, 20 parts were sold at auction. The current lot was recently kept by interior designer Jacques Garcia.
