Request to Arrest Captain Accused in Military Barracks Fire

A request to arrest Captain Yeghishe Hakobyan, the accused in the case of the fire that broke out in the barracks of the Engineering and Assault Battalion located in the village of Azat, Gegharkunik province, has been submitted to the court. He is charged with igniting the stove with gasoline, which led to the death of 15 servicemen. This information was provided by the Prosecutor General's Office.

It is worth noting that the Investigative Committee of Armenia arrested Captain Yeghishe Hakobyan, who poured gasoline into the stove in the barracks of Azat village, at the Muratsan Military Hospital and transferred him to the court in Avan to decide on the request for his detention.
