Grigoryan Discusses Situation in CSTO Responsibility Zone with Secretary General

The statement made by the President of Azerbaijan contradicts the announcements made in Prague and Sochi. This was noted by the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, during a meeting with the Secretary General of the CSTO, Imangali Tasmagambetov, which took place in Yerevan. The information was provided by the press service of the Secretary of the Security Council.

"The interlocutors discussed the situation that has arisen in the CSTO responsibility zone. The Secretary General reported on the situation regarding the delimitation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan," the statement said. The parties also addressed the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

The CSTO Secretary General arrived in Armenia on March 16 for a two-day visit. He visited Jermuk, where he held several meetings with local authorities and representatives of the armed forces. Tasmagambetov also got acquainted with the consequences of Azerbaijan's attack on Armenia's sovereign territory in September 2022.

On March 16, the CSTO Secretary General also met with Armenia's Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan. This morning, he visited the "Yerablur" military pantheon and paid tribute to the memory of the heroes who fell in the Artsakh wars.
