Earthquake Recorded at Iran-Iraq Border with Magnitude of 5.1
An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale has been recorded in the border area between Iran and Iraq. This information has been reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The tremors were registered at 10:32 PM local time. The epicenter of the quake was located southwest of the Iranian city of Sanandaj, which has a population of 349,000, and the focus was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no reports of casualties or damages resulting from the earthquake.
