Results of Certification Process: We Have Teachers Earning 450,000 Drams

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, has announced that there is an opportunity for individuals who are not currently working in schools but meet the qualification requirements for teaching to participate in a voluntary certification process.

According to her, this mechanism will facilitate the entry of new and high-quality professionals into the school system.

Andreasyan also emphasized that at this moment, there are already 1,565 teachers whose salaries have doubled. "If the average salary is 125,000 drams, then the average income resulting from voluntary certification is 250,000 drams or more, and we have teachers earning up to 450,000 drams. Moreover, I must point out that about 28 percent of teachers receive salaries of 300,000 drams or more, and there are around 150 teachers earning between 350,000 and 450,000 drams. In addition to this, other bonuses are available, as in the case of the category system. We have about 300 teachers with categories who are eligible for a bonus system," she noted.
