Four Soldiers Transferred to Zangezur Garrison Hospital: New Details from Yesterday's Car Accident
On March 15, 2023, four soldiers with varying degrees of bodily injuries were transferred to the Zangezur garrison hospital, three of whom were reported to be in stable condition, while one was classified as moderately severe. This information was shared by Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
“According to preliminary data, the soldiers sustained their injuries around 1:30 PM on March 15 on a section of the Sisian-Ishkhanasar road, specifically 3 kilometers from the point of incident. The injuries occurred as a result of the driver losing control of a Mercedes CLK 320 vehicle, leading it to veer off the roadway and roll approximately 15 meters in a field area,” Abrahamyan noted.
Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated by the Eighth Garrison Investigative Division of the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Article 342, Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code. During the preliminary investigation, a scene examination was conducted, and forensic medical and automotive technical examinations were appointed. The driver of the vehicle underwent sobriety testing, and no alcohol was detected in his system.
The investigation is ongoing, and the circumstances of the incident are being clarified,” Abrahamyan added.
