Armenian deminers have handed over 88,000 square meters of cleared land to representatives of the provincial council in the Hantarat region of Aleppo. This was reported by Aleppo's ‘Gandzasar’ weekly.

The authorities of the Aleppo provincial council have officially accepted the area that was cleared by the Armenian humanitarian mission's deminers.

The ceremony for the handover of the cleared land was attended by His Grace Archbishop Makariy Ashgarian of the Diocese of Beroea, representatives from the Aleppo provincial council, the advisor from the Armenian Consulate General in Aleppo, David Tadevosyan, Colonel Arkadi Tonoyan from the Armenian humanitarian mission group, and representatives from the Russian Peacekeeping Center in Aleppo.

Since February 2019, Armenia has been carrying out a humanitarian mission in Syria. The mission comprises humanitarian deminers, doctors, and specialists ensuring their direct safety. The goal of the mission is to provide professional humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people.
