American Stock Exchanges Announce Delisting of Prominent Russian Companies' Securities
Nasdaq and NYSE have announced the delisting of securities from prominent Russian companies: Yandex, Ozon, HeadHunter, CYAN, and Qiwi.
What does it mean to be delisted? It refers to the exclusion of the issuer's securities from the list of stocks for which clearing settlements are conducted based on the results of the trading session. If the decision is not contested, the securities of these Russian companies will be delisted starting March 24.
According to Nasdaq's website, Yandex has already declared its intention to appeal this decision. Trading of these companies' securities was halted on American exchanges in late February 2022, just days after the start of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
