VIDEO: We Received Azerbaijan's Proposal on Our Project 2-3 Days Ago, Says Pashinyan
Several days ago, Armenia received a response from Azerbaijan regarding the peace treaty. This announcement was made today during a press conference by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“In mid-February, Armenia's response to the draft peace treaty was conveyed to Azerbaijan, and two to three days ago, Armenia received Azerbaijan's response,” said Pashinyan.
He noted that there is certain progress in the document, but there are also fundamental problems. “In our understanding, Azerbaijan is trying to formulate territorial demands on Armenia, which is a red line for us. Azerbaijan is also trying to gain a mandate to carry out genocide or ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh, this is also a red line,” he stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized that any document that would be signed with Azerbaijan must have guarantees for implementation, and it would be desirable to have international guarantees; however, according to him, these are lacking.
