Russian Su-27 Collides with American MQ-9 Reaper Drone over Black Sea

A Russian Su-27 fighter jet has collided with an American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone, according to Politico. The incident occurred over the Black Sea, near the closed airspace immediately adjacent to Crimea, as part of a special military operation.

The European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces reports that the drone was downed in neutral waters. There is currently no information regarding the fate of the fighter jet.

According to the White House, U.S. President Joe Biden has been briefed on the incident.
