Video: Strong Winds in Ufa Cause Collapse of Ar-Rahim Mosque Minaret Dome

In Ufa, the dome of the minaret of the under-construction Ar-Rahim mosque collapsed due to strong winds, with no reported injuries, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"The causes are being investigated. No damage has been inflicted. There have been no construction works ongoing there as the construction has been frozen for several years," stated officials.

The Ar-Rahim mosque was founded in 2007 to commemorate the 450th anniversary of Bashkortostan joining Russia, but the building remains unfinished to this day.
