An Azerbaijani wrestler viciously struck an Armenian wrestler after suffering a defeat. It is noted that at the European Under-23 Wrestling Championships, Karapet Manvelyan decisively defeated Azerbaijani wrestler Rahim Hasanov with a score of 7:1.

Additionally, at the European Under-23 Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania, representatives from Armenia, Karapet Manvelyan and Sahak Hovhannisyan, achieved victories against their Azerbaijani counterparts.
