Russia to Face The Hague Court Over Military Operations in Ukraine
The International Criminal Court plans to initiate two cases against Russia related to the special military operation in Ukraine. This was reported by The New York Times, citing informed sources who requested anonymity.
"The International Criminal Court intends to initiate two cases of war crimes in connection with the Russian special operation in Ukraine," the report states.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that the West is hurrying to propose ideas for an illegal anti-Russian 'tribunal,' but has not mentioned the necessity of prosecuting Ukrainian leadership and military for their crimes.
In early December, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that attempts to create a 'tribunal' in the West concerning Ukraine would not be legitimate, would not be accepted, and would be condemned.
