Armenian Government on Pashinyan-Putin Phone Conversation
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, had a phone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
As reported by the Armenian government, the conversation focused on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh due to Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. In this context, Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed the terrorist act carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh on March 5 and its consequences.
Emphasizing the importance of a targeted response from Russia in overcoming the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Prime Minister also exchanged thoughts on the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Discussions included questions related to the implementation of the trilateral statements made by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, November 26, 2021, and October 31, 2022.
