First Leopard 1 Tanks to Be Transferred to Ukraine in Early May, Says Danish Defense Minister

The first Leopard 1 tanks from Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands will be transferred to Ukraine in early May. This was announced by the acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

According to him, it will be possible to supply Ukraine with 80 to 90 tanks throughout 2023.

“They will be delivered continuously, as they need to be included in training activities with Ukrainian soldiers. That is why we believe that they will be supplied in large numbers from approximately early May until the end of the year,” the official said.
