One Dead, Many Injured: Details on the Tragic Accident

Today, at 14:21, a bus transporting schoolchildren fell into a gorge on the Kapand-Norashenik road and ended up in a river. An operational group from the regional rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a firefighting rescue unit responded to the scene.

Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasian informed "News" that there are over ten injured individuals. Currently, it is confirmed that one woman has died.

The injured children and school staff are receiving first aid at the Kapan medical center. According to the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, preliminary reports indicate there are 21 casualties.
