24 Injured in Bus Accident; Identity of Deceased Revealed

Today, at 14:20, the police station in Kapan received a report that a traffic accident occurred on the road in the Norashenik community of Kapan. A bus of the "PAZ" brand was involved in the crash.

This was reported by the police.

As of 16:10, 24 citizens with varying degrees of bodily injuries have been transported to the Kapan Medical Center. One of them, 53-year-old Tamara Davtyan, has died.

It was previously reported that at 14:21 today, a bus transporting schoolchildren fell into a gorge on the Kapan-Norashenik roadway and ended up in a river.

Emergency response teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' regional rescue department, as well as a firefighting and rescue unit, were dispatched to the scene.
