Turkey Suspends Transit of Sanctioned Goods to Russia
Turkey has suspended the transit of sanctioned goods to Russia through its territory. This has been reported by Turkish media outlets.
According to Russian logistics companies, notifications about the ban on transporting cargoes have been received since March 8, although the transport of these goods was previously agreed upon.
Reports indicate that Russian businesses are confused and are searching for alternative routes; however, it has not been disclosed what specific goods were attempting to be transported.
Media sources suggest that the suspension of transit is related to the recent visit of U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Turkey.
