Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Opened, but Partially
The Stepantsminda-Lars highway has been opened, but only for light passenger cars and passenger transport vehicles.
This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by Vahan Hakobyan, customs attaché at the Armenian Embassy in Russia. He added that the road remains closed for trucks.
It is worth noting that due to weather conditions, the Upper Lars border point was closed again for all types of vehicles on March 5. As of March 6, the number of trucks waiting on the Russian side reached approximately 4,000, of which 1,000 are Armenian, while 150-200 are at the Georgian-Russian border.
