Russian Soldiers Conduct Exercises in Armenia's Alagyaz and Kamkhud Mountain Regions

The personnel of the Southern Military District (SMD) base in Armenia are enhancing their field skills during planned combat readiness exercises in the Alagyaz and Kamkhud mountain ranges. This information was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.

Field excursions are ongoing, alongside special tactical training for motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance, and other units, during which soldiers are refining their professional skills in field training. The primary focus is on developing interaction among units while executing combat readiness tasks.

Motorized rifle companies are learning to interact with tank, artillery, and special units during exercises at high altitudes and are currently improving their coordination during live-fire drills. Soldiers in the field are carrying out tactical, engineering, and fire training practices, as well as target practice exercises.

The distinctive features of the training exercises at the Southern Military District base in Armenia include climatic conditions characterized by sharp changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature, as well as the relief of the mountainous region.
