Number of fatalities from train derailment in Egypt rises
The number of fatalities from a train derailment in Egypt's Qalyubia Governorate has reached two, as confirmed by the country's Ministry of Health.
Earlier, the Ministry had reported one death and 16 injuries. The incident occurred Tuesday evening when a train derailed in the town of Qalyub, located north of the capital Cairo.
The statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Health noted, “The death toll from the train incident in Qalyub has risen to two.”
