EU Calls on Azerbaijan to Ensure Freedom and Security of Movement through Lachin Corridor
The European Union remains concerned that continued violations of freedom of movement through the Lachin Corridor affect human rights in Nagorno-Karabakh, including the rights to health, education, and access to food. This was stated in a release on the official EU website.
"The EU calls on the authorities in Azerbaijan and all responsible parties to guarantee freedom and security of movement through the corridor in accordance with the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, and to respect the decision of the International Court of Justice dated February 22, 2023. The EU urges Azerbaijan and Armenia to continue participating in dialogue, including at the level of the leadership of the countries. We look forward to the continuation of the peace process with the support of European Council President Charles Michel," the statement reads.
