Police Urges Public to Stay Alert and Vigilant
On the evening of March 3, the Ararat police department received a report from a 42-year-old woman. On March 1, she had noticed an advertisement at a village bus stop stating "Loans for individuals on the blacklist." On March 2, the woman called the phone number provided in the advertisement. She was informed that her requested loan of 450,000 AMD had been approved and was asked to transfer 20,000 AMD to the account they provided.
Subsequently, on March 3, the same phone number called her again, demanding another transfer of 25,000 AMD. The woman complied once more, after which her calls went unanswered.
The police urge the public to be cautious and vigilant and to avoid engaging in transactions with suspicious individuals and organizations.
