Bus Driver Loses Control After Collision with BMW: Details
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the bus accident that occurred this morning, in which staff members of the Prime Minister's office were being transported. Gohar Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office, wrote on her Facebook page, "Maintaining the presumption of innocence, I inform you that a criminal case has been initiated in the road transport crimes investigation department of the RA Criminal Code under Article 342 due to the bus accident on Monte Melkonyan Avenue in Yerevan.
According to preliminary data, a collision occurred between a passenger transport bus and a ‘BMW’ car during traffic, which led to the bus driver losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a corner concrete barrier. As a result of the accident, the bus driver and 13 passengers were taken to medical facilities with varying degrees of bodily injuries. Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier, it was reported that at 08:35 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received notice of an accident occurring on Monte Melkonyan Avenue in Yerevan. It became clear that a ‘Hyundai’ bus collided with a ‘BMW’ vehicle (driver: R. H.), and the bus crashed into the roadside barrier, resulting in casualties. The health condition of three individuals is assessed as serious.
