We Don't Need People Coming to Observe with Pens and Binoculars - Ohanyan

Regarding the issue of the Lachin Corridor, I do not believe there is a need for international observers. This was stated today by Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the 'Armenia' faction and former Minister of Defense of Armenia, during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly, in response to the announcement from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the presence of international fact-finding groups in the Lachin Corridor and Nagorno-Karabakh is necessary.

“We don't need people who will come to observe with pens and binoculars. The ones implementing this on the ground are the Russian peacekeeping forces. On the other hand, it is necessary to raise the issue of Artsakh in international platforms, as the conflict is not resolved, and the resolution should return to the jurisdiction of the OSCE Minsk Group,” Ohanyan stated.

According to him, international guarantees are the diplomatic process. When there is no diplomacy, war begins.
