VIDEO: Sea Level Rises, Streets of Hatay Transformed into 'Rivers'
Following a magnitude 4.5 earthquake on March 5 in Turkey's western Hatay province, the streets of Iskenderun have been transformed into rivers. According to Turkish media reports, the epicenter of the subterranean tremors was located 19 kilometers north of the city of Iskenderun, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
After forecasts and warnings from meteorologists regarding adverse weather conditions in Hatay province, a storm hit the Iskenderun region later in the evening on March 5. There have been no reports of casualties or destruction.
It is worth recalling that after the powerful earthquakes on February 6 in Turkey, the sea level near the Iskenderun shores had risen significantly, flooding the streets and public squares. For safety reasons, many residents were evacuated.
