Erdogan Summons Cabinet Meeting with Two Topics on the Agenda

- Upcoming national elections
In addition to these topics, the agenda will also include discussions on rental increases for military barracks. The source notes that steps are expected to be taken during this meeting, which will signify the exact date for the elections.
It is recalled that on February 6, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck the Pazarcik district of Kahramanmaras Province, followed by another of 7.6 in the Elbistan region, affecting nearby provinces as well. According to the latest report from Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, the death toll stands at 49,089.
Regarding the date of the elections, the first hint was given in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, where President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, “Know well that on May 14, this nation will do what is necessary.”
