Azerbaijan's Behavior Remains Unchanged: Statement from the National Assembly of Artsakh
The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh has released a statement today, March 5, regarding a terrorist act carried out by Azerbaijani armed forces that claimed several lives.
“Today, on March 5, as a result of another act of terrorism committed by Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership, three personnel members of the Passport and Visa Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh were killed, and one officer was severely injured.”
“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, I express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to our entire nation. Azerbaijan's behavior remains unchanged. Through the use of terrorist mechanisms and simultaneously spreading official disinformation, they aim to mislead the international community. Their goal is to conduct ethnic cleansing against the people of the Republic of Artsakh in the context of racial discrimination and to forcibly displace our population from their homeland. The actions carried out are another manifestation of Azerbaijan’s consistent policy of escalating the blockade of the Republic of Artsakh.”
“We draw the attention of the international community to the fact that the use of force and terrorist actions by Azerbaijan followed the International Court of Justice’s ruling on February 22 of this year, which satisfied Armenia's request to unblock the Lachin Corridor, and the position expressed by Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov regarding the Lachin Corridor on February 28,” the statement reads.
