Two Masked Individuals Attack Freedom Fighter at Night
Last night at 10:30 PM, I stepped out of my house to go to the store. I had walked about 40 meters when I felt a very strong hit to my head from behind. In an interview with 'Hraparak', participant in three Artsakh freedom fights, Shahe Ajemyan recounted the incident.
“When they hit my head, I turned around and gave one a good punch. This one recoiled and started to flee. I turned towards the second one to hit him too, but he ran away as well. From their physique and hands, I can assume they were young guys, around 20 to 26 years old,” the freedom fighter noted.
Just 30 minutes after the attack, Ajemyan received a phone call from a blocked number, where the caller insulted him and threatened him regarding the Artsakh war participant. The freedom fighter added that he has not reported the incident and does not plan to, as he is confident that they will not be able to solve the case. “At night, two masked individuals attacked me; can you imagine how to find them?” Ajemyan said.
When asked if he has any suspicion about the possible reasons for the attack, whether it was political opposition or personal motives, he stated, “I do not rule anything out; both are likely. I have suspicions related to one or two individuals, but having suspicions does not mean having evidence.”
Shahe Ajemyan's health condition is currently normal.
