Erdogan Withdraws from Legal Cases Over Personal Insults
The lawyer of Turkish President Hussein Aydin has announced via his Twitter account that Recep Tayyip Erdogan has withdrawn from certain legal cases related to personal insults in the 11 regions affected by the earthquake.
The statement also noted that these legal cases were initiated due to alleged personal insults directed at Erdogan. This information was reported by Ermenihaber.am.
It's worth recalling that on February 6, a powerful earthquake struck the Pazarcik (magnitude 7.7) and Elbistan (magnitude 7.6) districts of Kahramanmaraş province in Turkey, which was felt in neighboring provinces as well. According to the latest report from Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, the death toll stands at 49,089.
