Israeli Forces Use Water Cannons and Light-Noise Grenades Against Protesters

Thousands of protesters opposed to the government’s planned judicial reforms have taken to the streets again in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and other Israeli cities, as reported by Israeli media. The police have dispersed the protesters using water cannons and light-noise grenades.

Approximately 40 individuals have been detained in Tel Aviv, some of whom attempted to block the central streets of the city. By late afternoon, the situation in Tel Aviv had calmed somewhat; however, unrest intensified in Jerusalem.

Arrests have also been made in Haifa, Kfar Saba, Karkur, and Kiryat Shmona. Large-scale protests have been occurring regularly across the country in recent weeks, with people expressing their discontent against the legal reforms being implemented by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
