Azerbaijan's Integration Process is Excluded, Says Artsakh President
On March 1, a government meeting was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan. In his speech, Harutyunyan particularly noted:
“Today I have called a government meeting, where I have introduced the newly appointed State Minister of Artsakh, Gurgen Nersisyan, who will have a wide range of powers. Under his coordination, all ministries will operate, except for the ministries of defense, foreign affairs, and internal affairs.
Addressing the current situation, I want to emphasize once again that despite the difficulties and various pressures applied to us, we will remain faithful to the ideas of the Artsakh movement and there will be no retreat from our path to independence. I want to declare with full responsibility that any integration process with Azerbaijan is excluded. However, this does not mean that we will avoid contacts to solve infrastructure and humanitarian issues.
As for the negotiations regarding the resolution of the conflict, as I stated in my message on February 23, it is necessary to ensure certain conditions and an international format.”
