Kyiv Reports Night Attack by Iranian Shahed Kamikaze Drones
The Ukrainian authorities report a night attack by Shahed kamikaze drones. According to the country's main headquarters, 11 out of 14 drones fired by Russian troops were shot down.
Air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions. Explosions were heard in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi.
Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced on his Telegram channel that anti-aircraft defense systems were operational in the Borispol and Brovary districts of Kyiv region.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported the detection of enemy objects in the area.
Air raid alerts in Ukraine have been periodically declared since mid-October. Kyiv accuses Moscow of using Iranian Shahed-136 drones to attack civilian and energy infrastructure. The Russian side officially denies these allegations.
