I Hope It Will Be a Breakthrough Year: Aliyev on Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, expressed hope during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that 2023 will be a breakthrough year in the resolution of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was reported by TASS.

“I hope that 2023 will be a breakthrough year in the resolution of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In any case, we have hope,” he stated on February 27.

Aliyev thanked the Russian government and personally credited the Russian Foreign Minister for their active participation in this process.

“I believe that Russia, as our friend, ally, and neighbor, has a special role in supporting the resolution of inter-state relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he emphasized.
