Blizzard, Black Ice: What Is the Situation on the Roads

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads throughout the Republic of Armenia.

Blocked roads include the route from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and the Berd-Jambarak road, where a blizzard is ongoing.

The Vardenyats Pass is only difficult for truck trailers to navigate.

Black ice is present in various locations in the regions of Aparan and Aragats.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia in the Russian Federation, the Stephantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
