19-Year-Old Opens Fire and Stabs Club Manager
A 19-year-old opened fire in a Yerevan nightclub and then got into an argument with the club's manager, ultimately stabbing him.
The information was reported by the press service of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
“Around midnight on February 26, the Central Police Department received a report from the 1st University Hospital that a 36-year-old man from Yerevan had come in for treatment with a stab wound to the chest,” the statement said.
Criminal investigators from the Central Department went to the hospital. It was established that the incident occurred at one of the entertainment venues on Northern Avenue.
Hours later, the young man was found and arrested. A firearm and a folding knife were discovered in his possession. A criminal case has been initiated. Both the young man and the documents related to the incident have been forwarded to the appropriate investigative division.
The circumstances are being investigated.
