VIDEO. "Azerbaijanis Wanted to Remove the Word 'Mountain' from One Place and 'Armenian' from Another": Resolution Adopted
The Armenian National Assembly delegation participated in the "Euronest" Parliamentary Assembly held in Chișinău. A resolution has been adopted calling for urgent solutions to humanitarian issues such as the release of all detained Armenian individuals, clarification regarding missing persons during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the implementation of UNESCO's mission aimed at preserving cultural heritage in the region. This was reported by the RA National Assembly.
The Azerbaijani delegation demanded to rephrase the initial resolution in an unacceptable manner for the Armenian side.
Member of the Armenian National Assembly delegation, Arman Yeghoyan, stated, "The Azerbaijanis wanted to remove the word 'Mountain' from one place and the word 'Armenian' from another. We explained that there are no Azerbaijani prisoners of war in Armenia, and that such calls should be made for both sides." The resolution was adopted in its preliminary form. According to Artur Khachatryan, the resolution did not serve the interests of the Armenian agenda.
“To say that our dream resolution was adopted would be incorrect; to say that the worst resolution in the world was adopted would also be incorrect, because there were issues regarding prisoners of war and the verification mission of UNESCO,” said Artur Khachatryan, a member of the delegation and an MP from the “Armenia” faction of the RA National Assembly.
