VIDEO: Major Fire in Tbilisi - A High-Rise Building is Burning

A fire has erupted in a multi-storey building under construction in the historic Ortachala neighborhood of Tbilisi, reports Mtavari Arkhi TV.

Heavy smoke has been observed coming from the newly constructed building, which is located near one of the Ministry of Internal Affairs buildings in Georgia. According to available information, construction materials are on fire.

Media reports state that all construction workers present in the building have been evacuated.

Currently, there are no reports on the consequences of the fire. The emergency management service has announced that firefighting units have been mobilized on the scene and work is underway to extinguish the fire.
