According to preliminary data, 50-year-old Tigran Khachikyan from Uzbekistan fired several shots at a 43-year-old OMON officer near the entrance of the 'Gostiny Dvor' metro station. The victim required urgent medical assistance and is currently in the intensive care unit. Doctors have assessed his condition as serious, diagnosing him with multiple penetrating gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
The suspect has been detained, and criminal proceedings have been initiated against him under the article 'Assault on the Life of a Law Enforcement Officer.' It has been clarified that the suspect is currently unemployed and has not been subjected to criminal prosecution previously. The motives and circumstances surrounding his actions are under investigation.
