Azerbaijan Commits Another Crime: Tovmasyan Sends Letter
The Chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan, has sent an urgent letter to all international partners, raising alarm that Azerbaijan is not complying with the International Court of Justice's demands. The MP announced this on her Facebook page.
In her letter, she emphasized that it has already been about two days since the International Court of Justice's ruling, yet Azerbaijan is committing yet another crime by continuing to block the unhindered movement of citizens, vehicles, and cargo in both directions through the Lachin corridor.
“In light of the current situation, I have asked them to contribute, within the scope of their mandates, to the implementation of the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice, and to report on the actions they have taken or will take in this regard,” Tovmasyan wrote.
It is worth noting that the court had granted Armenia's request for interim measures and ordered Azerbaijan to take all necessary steps to ensure the unhindered movement of citizens, vehicles, and cargo in both directions through the Lachin corridor until a final ruling is made in the case of Armenia against Azerbaijan.
