Another Earthquake Recorded in Turkey's Hatay Province

After the two devastating earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on February 6 and 20, weaker tremors and aftershocks continue to be recorded. This was reported by ermenihaber.

Specifically, an earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude was recorded in Hatay province on February 20, which had already been severely damaged by the earlier quake. Following these two earthquakes, around 8,000 aftershocks have occurred.

On the evening of February 23, another earthquake struck Hatay, this time with a magnitude of 5.0.

It should also be noted that the most recent data indicates that the number of citizens who died due to the earthquakes has reached 43,556. A large number of apartment buildings, rural houses, and public infrastructure have been destroyed.

According to the latest data published by Turkey's Ministry of Urban Development, 164,000 buildings are either destroyed or in need of immediate demolition.
