Video: Lawmaker Listens to Putin’s Address with Noodles in His Ears

A lawmaker from the Samara Regional Duma, Mikhail Abdalin, was seen listening to Russian President Vladimir Putin's address to the Federal Assembly with noodles in his ears, a move that has angered State Duma deputy Alexander Hinshtein.

To back his claims, the parliament member shared a photo of Abdalin, who was seated with his arms folded and noodles in his ears. Abdalin's act has been condemned by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, to which he belongs. The party has promised to review the lawmaker's actions but has not yet stripped him of his party membership.

“While the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, admires the president's address from the podium of the State Duma, assuring that there will be no more anti-presidential ‘attacks,’ the deputy from the Samara Regional Duma, Mikhail Abdalin, is demonstrating the exact opposite,” stated Hinshtein.

The lawmaker pointed out that while the address was fundamental for Zyuganov, for Abdalin it was “limited to noodles.” He urged the communists to rein in their party mate.

It is noteworthy that Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Federal Assembly, discussing domestic political situations and the Russia-Ukraine war, while criticizing the West.
