The pilot of the crashed SU-25 aircraft from the Russian Aerospace Forces in Belgorod region has died.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction. This information was reported by rbc.ru.

The country's Ministry of Defense has stated that the crash occurred while the aircraft was returning to the airport after completing its combat mission.

"The aircraft crashed in an uninhabited area, and there were no casualties on the ground," they added.
